Unable to start the game after the latest patch
As the title says, I am unable to start the game after the latest hot-fixes.

I haven't booted it in 2-3 days, and today nothing happens no matter where I try starting it, Steam, desktop shortcut. Restarted the PC already.

HAY! solved it. downloaded the update 'allow mods' mod on Modnexus, dragged Remnant 2 file into folder and replaced all. works now was a 2mb file, most downloaded there.

i did try that, though it didn't work for me at least.
my game could start after i deleted the dll. file coming from the "allow assets mod" mod from nexus mods (located in game files :\steamapps\common\Remnant2\Remnant2\Binaries\Win64) named "xinput1_3.dll" (could be located differently for others). apparently this file interfered with the booting after the update. after updating to the new version of the dll. the game could start again with mods. that said, the file only exist if you are modding the game. hope this helps :)

same here, other games open fine. i updated Nvidia in the mean time for BG3, only difference on my end.
BG3 has no issues, same as any other game. I think they messed up something with the latest hotfix for Remnant. Hopefully someone will reply and help us out.
Same issue here, ran just fine, took a break for about a week and just went to boot it up and it wont. Tried everything the internet suggested, even disabled/uninstalled razer applications and no dice.
Where the ♥♥♥♥ are the devs the replies to the community? It's tons of freaking posts with the same issue and they stuck their heads up their arses and left the game in limbo after they've been praised so much.

ive got the same problem
I have a 13900k CPU, not overclocked. I was getting the LowLevelFatalError and EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors constantly, at random intervals. Sometimes on launch, sometimes on loading a level, sometimes on an event, etc.

I downloaded the Intel Extreme Tuning utility that was noted in the last major patch notes as a possible fix. The link is here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html

Initially I only tried backing down my Performance Core ratio from 55x to 54x, as stated in the patch notes as a possible fix. That did nothing for me. So then I tried 53x, still nothing. I am not on 52x and I have not had a crash since.

Bless you, that did the trick for me!

Hey this worked! Sort of. I'm on a 13th gen i7, would always crash at launch, or have the game freeze during the load screen after the tutorial boss. I set the ratio from its default 53 down to 52, the game launched, I was able to play...and then crashed during that same post-boss load. Set it down to 50, and suddenly I was able to play with no problems whatsoever. Feels bad to purposefully underclock my CPU but at least I can point to that being the issue, hopefully they really do fix it properly in a patch so nobody has to go through this rigamarole.

What's weird is that I'd used the XTU with an earlier Rem2 patch and it did nothing at all, so I guess one of the game updates somehow made that workaround function for me.

Gonna tentatively say this was the fix. I have a 4090 and an i7 13th gen processor and this fixed all of the crashing issues I was having

Gonna have to agree that toning down a top of the line processor to get a game that looks like this to run is hilarious and sad but I am just glad to have some stability. Hopefully further patches do not break the game
