Possible Fix for 13th Gen CPUs / Exception Access Violation / Out of video memory

I need some other folks with a 13th gen Intel CPU to try something for me and make sure I am not crazy.

I have a 13900k CPU, not overclocked. I was getting the 2 errors in the title constantly, at random intervals. Sometimes on launch, sometimes on loading a level, sometimes on an event, etc.

I downloaded the Intel Extreme Tuning utility that was noted in the last major patch notes as a possible fix. The link is here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html

Initially I only tried backing down my Performance Core ratio from 55x to 54x, as stated in the patch notes as a possible fix. That did nothing for me. So then I tried 53x, still nothing. I am not on 52x and I have not had a crash.

Can other folks with a 13th gen CPU give it a shot and see if you have any success? Many thanks, if so!

I never expect to have a system too good. I just assumed we're the easiest case and most predictable build to have fantastic optimization. Maybe I'm the crazy one.

Most Intel boards still run out of spec OC by default and 13900K/S are the most unstable CPU out there, so I'm not really surprised it affects these ones in particular.

@OP: Does your motherboard have the all-core Turbo using single-thread power target enabled by any chance ?
Different vendors call this OC toggle differently.

Another 3 hour session, in co-op, no crashes with this fix. I am happy again.

i had constant crashes recently, I dropped my cores down to 5.4 and now everything works fine, I think this might be a problem with a bad batch of CPU's cause this CPU never used to give me problems for the last 4 months. I'll be contacting Intel on Monday
