FPS Lock

Hi all,

I've got a bit of an odd one here. Since the latest patch my game is hard-locked at 60 fps. Normally I can get anywhere from 75-90fps but try as I might I can't get the game over 60 fps. I don't think it's a performance issue based on my system resource usage, it seems that something somewhere has just locked the FPS. Here's what I've tried so far:
- Confirmed FPS is locked with both AMD and Steam's overlay.
- Rebooted.
- Ensured I have the latest AMD drivers installed.
- Reset the AMD performance profile for the game.
- Disabled my GPU undervolt.
- Ensured Vsync is off in game settings and that framerate is uncapped.
- Confirmed the above in the game configuration file.
- Ensured I have no frame limiter (I use Radeon Chill) enabled for the game.
- Disabled Variable Refresh Rate in Windows settings.
- Tested other games (both Unreal and non-Unreal engine games) and confirmed FPS can go above 60.

Here's my system specs for reference:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X (4.5Ghz base, 5.4Ghz boost, -25 PBO offset)
Motherboard: Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master Rev 1.0
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MHz CL40 DDR5 XMP (XMP enabled)
Video Card(s): PowerColor Radeon RX 6950 XT Red Devil OC 16GB (2.55Ghz boost, 1165mV UV)
Storage: 2x1TB SSD, 2x2TB SSD, 2x 8TB HDD (Game is installed on an SSD)
Display(s): Samsung Odyssey G51C 27" QHD (165Hz) + Samsung Odyssey G3 24" FHD (165Hz)
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000 Platinum Modular (1000W)
Software: Windows 10 Professional

Does your display have Freesync enabled? That could be causing it, also the only other thing might be is try going to:
C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Remnant2\Saved\Config\Windows

Move or rename the GameUserSettings.ini file and start the gmae . It will reset all settings and then check if the fps is still locked.

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried disabling FreeSync and resetting the config file, unfortunately the FPS is still locked. The mystery continues!

Actually, check that, I HAVE solved it! It looks like my issue was the same as the poster in this thread. I was tweaking the game settings using the Radeon overlay and it showed Radeon Chill was disabled. I just happened to open the full app while tinkering and found that Chill was actually enabled and locked to 60. Very curious, but i'm happy to report the problem is now fixed.
