Transference/Red Doe Staff do not work together

I've got Transference at +5 and it works on every weapon I've tested except for the Red Doe Staff (Even the dreamcatcher, which I was surprised due to how similar they are in usage). Straight up does not return any ammo back on any ranged weapons I've tried

I just noticed this myself. Any mutator that requires a melee hit doesn't work with Red Doe Staff.

Hopefully this a bug that the devs can fix.
