Disappearing Trait Book in Forgotten Field

Not sure if a similar thing can happen under the right circumstances elsewhere, but in Forgotten Field there was a trait book near a Pan skeleton toward the end of the area with a Root Flyer near it. So I figure I'll just run up and melee the thing like a cheeky bastard right?

What I didn't notice was that just to the left of the enemy was a Root Rot bag and I hit it just as I hit the Root Flyer. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but after the explosion knocked me down the trait book disappeared from the ground. It was still showing a blue dot on my mini-map and I could still hear the sound of it but it just...wasn't there. I hadn't picked it up and it wasn't in my traits points.

So I tried getting to the checkpoint and exiting the area. I came back. It was still gone. Yeah. Bug.

I wonder if other explosions can make trait books or even items lose their model and not be interactable?
