Client did not get credit for Apocalypse clear

My girlfriend and I just finished a full clear on Apocalypse, but when we logged back in to check out our new stuff, I (host) had been given credit for the clear, but she (client) hadn't, and when we returned to the final boss arena, it didn't spawn, as the host save registered the boss as beaten.

So this obviously sucks and the 'did you beat the game' check should be made more robust for clients, because there's nothing to take the wind out of a triumph like realising a technical issue ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up. But more short-term do we have any recourse or do we literally just have to play the entire game again?

AFAIK clients do not get completion rewards. You'd more than likely need to run another campaign with them hosting. I could be wrong, though.

That being said, if it's something that's making you both not want to play, there's always Cheat Engine. I recommend the table by "cfemen" on FearLess, commands can be found nested in the replies. Spawn the corresponding unlocks and just close it out.
It should go without saying but please do not use CE in public lobbies :)

This actually isn't correct unless apoc is different which is possible since I suffered the same thing. I'm more incline to believe it is a bug since when I was helping my friend with their 1st vet clear we brought our friend along who was only on their 2nd world and it unlocked all their shop rewards and they were not the host or progressed that far into the game. I speed ran to the final boss in a couple hours with the person I ran apoc with earlier and we actually 1 shot the final boss the last time, so I'm hoping it'll go smoothly again.
