Lost all progress
Yesterday PC crashed during play, went to bed.
Today, game forced me to delete profile as it was corrupted, send help please.

Tried to start a new character, can not grab the P60 SMG, as I've already opened it apparently.

Try restoring a backup save file. it might help.

Where is such a thing?

I did not manually make a back up, and save file went down the drain when the game forced me to delete profile.

It would literally not let me log in before doing so.

70 hours and about 80-90% of all the items in the game acquired gone.

Man I remember they had save corruption issues in Remnant 1. They still didn't address it in 2? :(

Hey, at least it didn't happen hundreds or even thousands of hours in right?

Not that it can't...

Remnant 2 have 3 backup saves you can read it in pinned topic but here copypast for ya lad
--Corrupted Saves--

If your save files get corrupted, we do keep backups of the save file in the same folder as your other save games.

Step1: Locate your save folder.

It is located here: %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Remnant2\Steam

In that folder will be a sub-folder named after your steam ID. There should only be one subfolder in there, so just check in there.

Step2: Backup that whole folder somewhere just in case

Step3: We keep up to 3 backups of both your profile and your save games. There will be profile.sav, and save_0.sav. These are your save files. The backups end in .bak1, .bak2, .bak3. .bak1 is the most recent.

Delete your .sav files and rename the backup files (.bak1) to have the .sav extension. This should restore you to a previously uncorrupted version of your save.

Thank you for this. it saved 59 hours of my gameplay, as I was reverted to ~ less than 5 hours and my heart skipped a beat.

Does anyone know what is going on here? Once I dug into these folders, my latest profile and backup files _before_ the ones I saved today before an update were from 7/26. I have absolutely been playing since then, and it's the bulk of the 59 hours I mentioned.
