Report a translation problem
Other games do it too? Interesting. It might be Intel's fault instead I guess in hindsight. I'll report it to their driver team as well. Or their upscaling tech team if they're separate.
Then in Properties -> Security -> Advanced select Disable inheritance and remove all permission entries.
Close the properties windows and open the folder once to create an explicit entry for you as owner.
Then open Properties -> Security -> Edit and set Deny on Write permission and unselect any other permissions except Read, which should be Allow.
Run Remnant 2 and exit, then check if any folders are created.
This is only basic way to restrict permission to a folder. I have no idea if these files are ever useful in the game and if not having them would have consequences so do this at your own risk.
Edit: I probably wouldn't do this to any of XeFX's parent folders just in case they are used by other Intel features.
