can Hero's Sword be obtainable in coop?

seeing comments about this from august i know it wasnt possible, but im asking if there was any update about that and if now completing the whole nightmare run in someone else's world would award me the sword as well

Can be bought from Brabus after completing the campaign on Nightmare.
OR, to get this weapon, you will need to finish the game at least once (any difficulty is fine). After defeating the final boss Annihilation and acquiring the Broken Compass. Go to Wallace and craft the Golden Compass, this will unlock a new Archetype named Explorer. Now, go to the main menu and create a new character with Explorer as your Archetype, you will have the sword as your starting melee weapon.

and bought the sword off shop, so at least first method checks out

I think they got all of the triggers for that straightened out. There haven't been any threads about people not getting unlocks for a while so you're probably good.

Just make sure you participate in every successful boss kill during a single campaign. Emphasis on 'every'. I believe the thing that broke the unlock for a lot of people is they only jumped in for the final boss of the campaign or only killed some of them. They didn't get the unlock because they didn't complete all worlds on that difficulty.

You might be able to complete some worlds on one campaign and the others in a different campaign but I'd just stick to getting all your boss kills during one campaign just to be safe.

I heard there was bugs when the game first released, but by the time me and my coop buddy cleared nightmare it was all fixed, neither of us had trouble unlocking hero's sword in coop and then the World's Edge in Apocalypse after that. Also They are both account bound items so any new characters you make after unlocking them will be able to buy the weapons from brabus from the very beginning.
