Report a translation problem
If you don't get through the DPS check by a close call with just that tiny bit of health left:
Everything able to increase damage output helps, including damage-increasing AoE, when working in a team (Alchemist or Archon f.e.) There is also the attack Dog from Handler and its buff.
Corrupted Rune Pistol (Mod) adds +10% more damage from all sources. Same goes for Brightstone Grenades.
I'm sure there is more. Hunter skills, Ritualists Deathwish (also a skill) and what not.
If you still do not manage to pass, there is only left to do one thing:
Switching to a build with more oomph.

Unfortunately one of the poor design decisions. They added a ton of melee or close range stuff like explosions but then made a bunch of bosses it cant reach.
I'd love to yell at the person who came up with this insanely stupid idea, but here we are.
I don't like DPS checks either though cuz it limits build diversity. If she would hover near the ground it would be a MUCH more enjoyable experience too cuz then all of a sudden like 30% of builds in the game can reach it again.
Another thing to note: Lydusa is bugged in the boss rush, which is only really noticeable on apoc. But it makes her have a ton more HP and take like 5 times the time of any other boss. Huge issue, huge waste of time to get her, but yea devs ignored that in the first patch.
Just to point it out one of the issues is that boss rush gives WAY too little XP, especially on apoc. The best way to farm XP is AoE farming in other places, so afk farming is a better option than actually playing the game. Who the ♥♥♥♥ thought that's smart to do.
And yea Lydusa plays into this cuz it's super frustrating to be stuck in a boring fight cuz the wall phase takes forever.
But yea not the first time the devs focus on the totally wrong things and do some insanely questionable stuff. I think they are completly unaware of the negative psychological effects their design and balance decisions have on players and thus dont know how many players that made stop playing.
That's my assumption too.
Me and my friends have around 2/3k dps each ( non meta builds ), and were always doing fine with lydusa ( though the moving walls phase length is way longer than intended, but that's no issue in terms of difficulty. Just an annoying time sink ).
I second the "long range weapons with fast recharge" suggestion though.
Lydusa's HP being bugged to be massive on Apoc explains so much... I thought I was going crazy when even my best builds that are putting out 4K DPS weren't even CLOSE to getting by her DPS phase... I'd die and she'd have loads of health left despite me popping every skill and mod I had at once on my highest DPS build.
I don't understand why more people aren't talking about this. Her existence (or this bug rather) makes this entire new mode a borderline pointless addition to the game.
Oh and when you die to her, her ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ musics continues to play, even when backing out to the main menu and character select.
