What a shame

This game could've done a last hoorah dlc like the first game did but nope. Even the world selection has an empty slot like it was supposed to have a big new world dlc. Gunfire games sadly ran out of ideas and moved on. What a shame bc this had potential and not having a last big new world is a downer. Guess the passion wasn't there.


Update: YES I understand that the devs made it clear that there was only going to be 3 dlcs and that's it. I was just saying that this game could've had one last new world dlc but it didn't so I say "what a shame" because of it. I'm not going to hate on the devs for it bc it was their decision. I will pull back on what I said about lack of ideas bc I'm sure they wanted to do more but didn't have the time or resources to do it.

DLC3 was the last announced piece of content yes.

I don't think it's been explicitly stated that "There will NEVER be any other content updates for Remnant 2" though.

BUT considering the lack of news or updates in the weeks after DLC 3 was released? It seems like yes, development is over.

Gunfire hasn't announced what their next project is though. It's probably not related to Remnant 2, but who knows.

I'm glad for all we've gotten, but yes, the more Remnant 2, the better.

Now you may would have a point there if it wouldn't have been the plan from before the game was even out. Literally when I bought my edition it said "will include all 3 dlcs that will come out over the next year, that will be all the dlcs the game will ever have"

why is it a problem when someone talks about something they dont like about something they paid for and enjoy. There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism, they aren't being rude or sending death threats or anything of the sort. Just stated a displeasure for lack of something, they wanted more.

I really feel like they should add something, anything really, to show what happened to Ford. Given the way the game is structured, I'm inclined to believe they might add a second campaign, with alternate versions or stand-ins for the Labyrinth and Root Earth.

If instead, they opt make it so that Ford's story is a continuation of Clementine's, rather than a full-fledged, stand-alone campaign, they could increase the minimum level scaling for the new zones, with the final one being set at 21. That way, there would be considerably less of an incentive to skimp out on leveling up your character.

However they decode to go about doing it, the game kind of feels incomplete to me until they conclude that story line, given that its the catalyst that sets everything else in motion.

Would Love to see what happened to Ford. The way they have this game structured is weird and while they did say 3 dlcs and that's it I feel deep down they wanted to at least show what happened to Ford. The ending of this game feels like it's over. Root is gone everything reset and your character wakes up gasping for air then black screen like it's the ending to the sopranos. Next game will be darksiders 4 then maybe another remnant?

The game fulfilled its potential. There's easily 200+ hours of content with the DLCs.
