Nothing says Uninstall like Sunken Witch first character!
So, I've just reinstalled this game again to unlock the Engineer and some other classes, didn't even know I had the DLC to be honest, not even sure, cause I certainly didn't buy them, at least not that I can remember.

Made a new character, got the Sunken Witch as my first boss, died once, and now I'm uninstalling again.

This fight isn't hard, and she's not hard to dodge at all, I simply ran out of Ammo, and having no mods, and dual claws, a useless dog who's Cooldown is WAY too long for what the fight is, the boss being one GIANT BULLET SPONGE. And to top it off, what did they bring back from Renmant 1? Oh yeah "Adds".

They've literally reverted back to the same trash fights the first game had, where the bosses themselves weren't a challenge, and it's simply being over run, and stunlocked to death by trash adds, because the Dev's clearly can't put any thought into a boss being called a "Witch", who lazily just swings around an anchor until she's low enough on HP to spawn in adds.

It might only be one DLC boss I've faced, but it's good enough to let me know, the Dev's went back to being lazy, and there's a reason why this games' playerbase is what it is now.

Guess I'll just go back to Elden Ring, where thought is actually put into bosses.

Ok.

I'm actually impressed that a player has managed to use up all their ammo against a boss, but not able to hit and/or deal enough damage to trigger the pigs that drop ammo. This is like someone that scores a zero on a multiple choice exam while answering every question. It takes special effort to accomplish such a feat.

i feel kinda bad for saying this, but this is just an honest to god Skill Issue. how do you waste all your ammo on the boss without the ammo-dropping pigs showing up? did you enter the boss room with low ammo? if so, then how? there's literally a checkpoint outside it. or are you just bad at aiming?

In addition to that, the boss is probably one of the easier ones that can also be done with just a random melee weapon ( and lots of neutral dodges, given her pretty easy attack patterns ). So, even assuming no ammo drop, it won't be an issue at all.

I kinda agree with OP. For some reason, devs decided that DLC bosses should have more health than vanilla bosses.

For comparison, The Sunken Witch has more health than Venom, an end game boss from the Corrupted Harbor, more health than the Red Prince and Magister Dullain, usually gatekeeper bosses. IMO, the Sunken Witch and some other DLC bosses are somewhat spongy.

Skinny and tanky.

Again though as the person who you are replying to has said...
There are pigs that if you kill them they drop ammo. If the OP survived long enough to magdump *everything* they had then the pigs showed up. It's not even fully damage-based like some think. It's just a timed phase that happens after she does a few combos. She does it right away if you do a lot of damage but will do it on her own without.

You literally have to enter with almost no ammo and die right away to never see the pigs show up while having empty guns. Which I've done by accident but isn't something you blame the game for like OP is.

aside of that, ammo boxes exist? again i do fresh hardcore apoc starts, that means a new character vs bosses that got 4 times the HP then lowest difficulty. all i need are my three starter ammo boxes for the first world, dont even need to buy any extra

and sunken witch can even be fought with melee if youd really completly run out

Even though Sunken Witch's HP is higher, the boss also has a significantly easier to hit weakspot compared to venom.
SW is one of the most fun bosses to neutral dodge on. She's in your face, swinging over and over, but misses every time. Gotta be real frustrating.

Have you upgraded your weapons? Or how about buying ammo reserves and using them mid fight? I had a gltich when I fought in the great hall feast where he kept eating the dog (who would not die) and he would not die.... I just died on purpose came back and it was fixed - maybe its a glitch.

Edit: sorry I'm learning bosses and level names still.

Wow if you're that bad at a fight that isn't hard, I cringe to imagine you trying the difficult bosses in this game.
