Bruin, Blade of The King boss fight is bugged

For some reason when he goes up top after doing so much damage he will randomly decided to either "burst throw" his spears that do AOE on the ground but every so often he will do both the AOE spears that linger and also the rapid shots ones that seem to do 100% stagger on a single hit making this encounter a random chance to survive or die on, can this be looked into or if someone has any strats cz I've tried going below him to force him down sooner but if he does his barrage of spears again your not dodging these due to that stagger mechanic being at 100%

the trick to survive this attack is to not let him initiate it at all. I was dying over and over at first too, but then i realized if you run under to where he jumps up, he will jump back down (trying to get onto you), so once the mobs are cleared just run straight at him and under him and he will be back in melee mode again.

Though the damage and stagger for that rapid throw is ridiculous and probably not intentional, as the game doesn't put him in a resist phase they imply you should/can be damaging him while he throwing, but you cant afford to ever do that while hes up there as is right now.

well thats the issue, when he does his spear chucking mode, its either he does the AOE ones which I can easily avoid but cz this is random of "if" he will do that or do BOTH types of spears (barrage + AOE) ones its hard to guage when I can get under him because by the time the mobs are dead hes already in that spear chucking phase.

I'm convinced that isnt suppose to be an RNG ability by the boss not especially with that level of stagger he does with it

well if you cant kill the mobs fast enough then just run under him anyway, as he will be distracted by the mobs while theyre alive, its just good to usually kill them for quick ammo. spec out for evade distance and invuln window if youre still having trouble there.

Yo as referenced by last guy, the strategy is the moment he starts to run, run after him. Once he starts throwing, he throws even faster until pretty much dead. So you need to run directly under him, and he'll jump down.

Use the defensive seringe buff, it doesnt stagger anymore, then run to the wall on the right side, he jumps down and run nearby just to cancel his one shot skill
I did on apocalypse, you can the raven and soul link to heal a lot if you have problems
