DLC bridge guard...

...so I've come across the info that the bridge guard before you start to approach the castle from the broken bridge can be talked to and if you go through all of it he can award you a ring or necklace of some kind.
However there's clearly something you have to do so he doesn't go hostile on you the second you try to walk up, because at that point I don't think it's fixable. Anyone know what that need is? What do I need to do to keep him from coming at me?

I did, but the dran on the way up the ladders and steps to the large world stone apparently also seem to count, so you're telling me I have to sneak up there or run past all of them while they attack me? Kind of a lame way to do that.

Some enemies will not attack you if you wear the zealot armor. you could try that.,

You need to avoid the fae. That's it. there's a side path that has 2 ladders with only dran guarding it. You can kill them, but make sure you don't hit any fae along the way especially the big room with the fae fighting the dran. Then just walk up to him normally.

It can also bug. I avoided the room and never hit any fae in multiple adventure runs and it wouldn't work. You can get around this bug by using Hunter's shroud and speaking to him before he gets up to attack. You have to be quick and only choose the dialogue that lets you leave. You'll see 3 dialogue options and an option to leave. Choose the leave option and you'll get the ach with the ring before you get attacked.

If you are still stuck with this, it is possible to kill everyone and complete the dialogue. Equip hunters Shroud, activate and go up to bridge guard, skip all the dialogue by quickly mashing the skip button. You can get through it all and be awarded the ring and the achievement before he swings at you. I got it this way so it does work. You do have to be really quick with the skipping

it doesnt work if you kill any fae, i got through the dialogue and it didnt give me anything, it's a permanent location so you just have to run through the area and talk to him

It does work because I did it. You were either 2 slow or it was patched out in the last day. Like I said, you have to be really quick skipping all the dialogue

I just did that, used full zealot armor, avoid the preacher fight at the start, and rushed all the way to the bridge going up the stairs instead of the factory.

Maybe there is a specific order you have to do it in? but after 20 minutes of trying i gave up, weird interaction.

I dont think the zealot clothes play any part in that since he is Fae, only killing fae before meeting him makes him aggro.
Interesting concept but poorly explained since it brings into question faction vs factions mechanics and it's a 1 shot

The Zealots armour only works to get past the Preacher at the very beginning of the map. There is enough time to exhaust all the dialogue as i have done it, but its good to know you dont have to do that and just select the leave option and still get the reward instead
