Remnant II

(Broken game wont launch) i9-13900k paired with 4070 and 3840 x 1080 32:9 UW screen
I upgraded my PC from a 3060 12gb and a i7-10700k with 32GB of DDR4 3600mhz.

Now I have a i9 paired with 4070 and 3840 x 1080 32:9 UW screen and the game wont launch at all. It will yell at me and say "Not enough Memory" then if by some god given miracle that it launches after 30min playtime I get a pop up "Not enough memory" if I dont click ok then it runs the entire time. No lag, no stutter, smooth load times the works.

SO WHY THE HELL IS IT SAYING NOT ENOUGH MEMORY AND CRASHING. It even crashed so damn hard on a launch of a game that it BLUE SCREENED MY PC. My older hardware had 0 damn issues at all. Not one. Yet the new hardware that has 0 problems running any other game has problems with Remnant 2. Games fun but the optimization and the simple "Heres the DLCs" and then zilch for bug fixes go out the window and people are left high and dry is not ok.

I wont be buying another game from this company if this game is left to rot like this.

PS: For those who want to "Suggest" any fixes I have looked everywhere. Google, Youtube, Tiktok, Twitter (0 help), and Facebook (0 help). So unless someone has a godsend of a fix that the devs refuse to fix I wont be playing this game anymore and it makes me mad that its been left in this state.

Its for the Steam version not Gamepass. Gamepass usually puts folders and files in different locations and have different root files.

cool, maybe if I post it from another thread you'll try it. https://www.reddit.com/r/remnantgame/comments/1idwtbb/comment/ma3sgdx/

also, I still want to know what cpu you have since there's a very well known issue with 13th and 14th gen.

I updated the post. Its a i9-13900k. I couldnt remember what it was last night because I was tired and so mad from spending almost the entire day trying to fix it.

I am aware of this. REMNANT 2 is the only game that is doing this so I highly doubt it's CPU degration when ARK runs fine on it.

Idk, could your SSD be trying to take a dump? It runs just fine on my 11th gen i7 soooo obviously theres an issue somewhere in the hardware

Hard to believe it's any of the hardware when no other games have this issue. Only Remnant 2. Remnant 1 runs just fine as well.
How many of the other games runs in UE5?
What is the error code on the Blue Screen?
what does Windows Event Viewer tell you? (as in, where does it say the problem lies)

did you try running it in Dx11? (i had an issue with dx12 on my old rig so when a game ran with dx12 it would just crash.) (set the launch option to -force-d3d11 )

did you buy new Ram? and ensure they weren't brigged from factory? if only the second ram stick is broken games wont crash before they utilize that part of the ram.
try rynning MemTest and see if it says something.

You said it BSoD'ed right? that 90% of the time is a major indicator that there is instability within the system. Whether thats caused by faulty or defective parts; or parts that are beginning to go out its hard to say. If it were an issue with the game code, it wouldnt BSoD for one, but also would be more of a widespread issue amongst the player base.

Whether you care to believe me or not isnt important to me, but unless your super high speed rig is a bad build, (Unlikely, could do with a bit more ram, maybe DDR 5 but I cant talk, im essentially running your old build give or take.) or youve got a part trying to fail on you somewhere. Trust me, look over your rig man.

true had a friend that bought faulty RAM went to the store got a new set, those where faulty he repeated 4 times before he chosed anotehr brand and those worked (it was the experimental Corsair he tried first which everyone knew at that time was faulty most of the time)
It really helps not being a gen z/a so you know how technology works and how to figure out how to fix the things you aren't familiar with.

We tried new ram since we had spare ones on tap. Still the same issue. I checked all over the bios. Nothing worked sadly. I double checked the windows updates useing SFC / scannow and nothing popped up with a bad file. I checked the health of the CPU and hot swapped out for the old GPU and it still crashed on me. I ripped out the CPU thinking it maybe had a fault and put in the old guts and it still crashed on me. I even put in the old Mobo and it still decided to crash on me. I pretty much took everything that was originally in the rig and its still crashing now. So the hardware is not the issue. I used Renovo uninstaller to fully rip the Remnant 2 files out of the system to do a fresh install and still no dice. Idk wtf they did but now the game just will flat not run.
Think there's a "memory leak" somewhere in the game code.
