godsplitter buff idea/decit nerf idea
personally it always struck me as odd that the BEST weapon to pair with decit has literally NEVER been godsplitter even though its got a passive DESIGNED to work alongside it making all hits on a target after they are hit by godsplitter make both itself AND DECIT do weakspot damage and given that faerin/faelin's whole thing was their sword summoning to the point that their long gun and weapon mod drops are both based on this fact, that the godsplitter didnt have either a thrown implement on its charged heavy or MAYBE something even cooler than just chucking the thing or making a magic slashey beam like with the heros blade and worlds edge where perhaps when you slash you create illusory swords along the path of the charged heavy with perhaps it being a 2 strike heavy attack which would be super fast too so you create the swords infront of you and than do a slash down firing off the swords with its weakspot damage modifer also being upped to 6 seconds BUT with the caveat that each sword imparts only 2 seconds of that total so if you say for example, miss 2 of the swords than your stuck with the current 2 seconds or if you miss one than you still only get 4 seconds of weakspot damage.

beyond that one might be curios why i would be vouching for a decit nerf even tho im literally wanting its partner weapon to get a big buff with the answer is simply its mod makes no sense with how it currently is because again, it was DESIGNED practically to be used with the godsplitter so it feels to me like if my godsplitter idea came to pass, its mod would become obsolete for good reason and so perhaps instead it would be better to expand its range to the same as the ring of spheres mod and make it work like that one where you can activate the mod to fire off your swords and recall them to do damage to anything in the path of them as well as causing an explosion from their intial point of impact as they are recalled to you making it more of a '♥♥♥♥ off' type ability that would actually pair nicely with the weaker yet still valuble ring of spears and encourage more of a ranged sniper-esque gameplay like the weapons entire design would suggest you should do AND most importantly, it would make it so you NEED to pair it with god splitter to get its benefit rather than just getting everything from its mod with if people then take advantage of not needing mod power generation to get its weakspot buff, nerf its weakspot damage to be more reasonable.

tbh i just saw godsplitter as the melee version, not them working with another.

or like, you build into weakspot damage and that gives you that extra dmg in melee

actually the intersting thing is that the godsplitters attacks also buff the decit gun with weakspot on all hits and vice versa with the decits mod. tbf its like i said that it feels like the devs who were tasked to make both got confused tho and thought what you just said and so made tho it seems they WERE supposed to be a kinda duo paired style of weaponry where you only get the full strength of either by using both but than after that was started, they just went the opposite directions of one being a ranged version and fundementally just the best weapon in game and the other just jumped off a cliff into the realm of complete uselessness that would make even aqua seem useful by comparison.
