Yes, having an NPC companion that draws aggro from you makes solo play easier, as intented. What's the issue?
On higher diffs the dog is kinda bad.
I know a bit bcoz i played the handler and either summoner or archon the entire campaign from start to final world.
i had to stop using the dog once i reached root earth.
Besides, the dog is only good at drawing aggro from 1 enemy, if its a horde of enemies then GL, summoner does a better job at holding aggro with ravager and also deals way, way more dmg than the doggo.
IF you use summoner as the primary archetype, you also give your summon 50% boost to dmg, movement speed and attack speed if you deal friendly fire to it.
But on average my ravager's exploding attack or main attack, not sure what it is, but it deals about 1500 dmg in a single hit and thats without mods or items that could boost skill/minion dmg.
Hence qualifying as OP. Nobody said there was an issue.Just a comment.
For bosses, not so much. Bosses are also the real threat in this game.
I will have to try that once I get Summoner.
