Cotton Kiln needs adjusted.
This is the level in Losom. The entire map is a burning city, which is pretty cool visually. The problem I have is with ALL the base enemies setting themselves on fire and then doing wind sprints and juking toward the player, around corners and obstacles.

At least put some regular idiots with pitchforks into the mix. The current enemies are entirely to spongy considering their just regular villagers ...that are on fire :spazhorror:

Personally, I hate the Kiln. Should just let it burn and go in after the fire is out.

None of the normal mobs in the game are a problem pigs and deer.
(paraphrased for maximum emphasis)

What in the hell is up with the wildlife!? My god. When I started this game I was trying to be in balance with nature, now I murder innocent animal left and right out of fear for my life. If this game had squirrels they'd chew through your leg in seconds.
Me upon starting the game and landing in yaesha:
"oh look, deers, they look funny"
A few seconds later, they knocked me 3 times during a fight, so I started a genocide

Shoot the legs.
This is something people don't realize but, many enemies will fall down if you shoot their legs.

:shit: I really didn't notice that. I guess I've been aiming for the head by default, but still... I'm setting personal records for being oblivious

I found I really like concussive shot for the Kiln. The burning guys are usually tightly packed together and you can knock a bunch of them down with one shot. Combo that with any time stop/song of eafir or anything that slows and life is a lot better. Just slow 'em down and watch 'em burn.

This did help a lot during those... oh crap moments. Good suggestion

Fun little tip:
These huge & tanky root enemies in yaesha that run toward you and blow up.
If you shoot one of their leg, they'll just fall to the ground and blow themselves up.

It would be hilarious if there was a secret way to trigger that in game. :spazhorror::FFIX_Bomb:

That's awesome, thanks for the tip!
Damn I just went through the cotton's kiln on apocalypse, now I understand
They're so godamn tanky on apocalypse.
They are very resistant to stagger and require a lot of bullets in their legs to fall.

I had no issue in nightmare but apocalypse... I had to change my loadout just to deal with these

It's pretty handy, especially against n'erud's zombies that have a weakspot in their back.
Yeah the explodes on yaesha are a good example of this as well, shoot their left leg, they fall down and then give up and explode.

The kiln is a terrible hellhole in Apocalypse. I ended up just sprinting though the whole place.

I wish there were some ranged weapons that didn't proc the fire. the bows maybe.
Huntress spear charged attack doesn't proc the ignite btw.

It might have been bad timing, but I did have one ignite right after I'd hit him with a throw of this weapon. There were 3 of them at the time so it might have been another mob that was already in the process,
