You won't get my steam points this time eheh
You don't need a battle pass or any other daily quest like agenda to tell you what to do. Make your own fun and enjoy it your way. If you feel like you're done, then that is it. Play a different game till the DLC is released or try something different in Remnant 2 like 100% complete it or a hardcore no damage run. A lot of Souls like game community do a lot of crazy self imposed challenges all for the fun of it(If you can call doing some of those crazy thing fun).
Population naturally declines after release, this is common with anything even from bigger name companies... a "battlepass" will only bring back so many for so long, not to mention 10 bucks a month turns into hundreds fast... but why when we only have 2 variants of 3 biomes?
Nothing wrong with live service as long as it can be a choice and doesn't give an advantage.
110,000 13 days ago. only 40k on a Saturday night.
I can still play the game solo or with friends. That's all that matters.
The game cannot "die" because it's not a "live service game"
It doesn't require a steady amount of players.
I care. I like having ppl join my game and theyr'e not anymore. I can also play diablo solo but it's more fun online ya know.
This is just how it goes. Another massively anticipated game got its full release. We'll see surges in activity as each DLC drops. This isn't a live service game. It is meant to be played and beaten. It's perfectly fine for the game population to dip.
There will be a point where you aren't playing a game to enjoy, you're playing it due to all the time and investment you've done and can't stop or else it will feel like it will be all for nothing.
40k people still in game even with other things launching and coming out in the weeks since the game came out is still extremely good. That is just how games work. They come out and people play and beat them and then move on to the next game. The fact this game has maintained as much of the population it has is a very good sign.
No game in history has ever maintained its first week or weekend high population.
Over 50% of people have stopped playing BG3 since its release. Is that game dead also? Every game has a troll like this.
Also its a buy to play game. That means you can set it down and come back whenever you want. Right now I am playing a BG3 run. I do a little bit of dark and darker every day and I join in an adventure or two in this game with friends probably on average every other day. Soon we will have star field to play as well. Diablo 4 is you are really desperate. Also play star citizen a few times a week with other friends.
There is no shortage of games to play and you don't have to divert all of your focus 100% into one game. If I put this game down for two days while I do something else its still going to be here when I come back.
But you forgot one thing, these games need a continuous flow of money to keep servers online.
It would be completely fine if they didn't use scam such as battlepass and other FOMO inducing methods, but they do.
