Great game, utterly botched ending
I hate when devs do this.
This is star renegades all over again.
Even a vanilla victory over the root would have been better.

But I get it, the devs really want to make dlcs and a third part and not have to design a new faction and just reuse the root.

I'm not changing my upvote for this game over this, but I'm really sick of seeing this lazy kind of endings.

Could imply continuation in dlc, could also imply everything is reset and we're in a loop. Either way, it definitely could have been handled with more grace than an abrupt cut.

Yeah the ending was... let's not beat around the bush, it was ♥♥♥♥.
We get this long drawn out sequence, a completely unnecessary mini add phase from the boss, then we just, I dunno, rebooted everything?

Okay, now what? Oh we're just acting like nothing happened? Nobody has anything further to say on the matter?

I still think I must've missed something really obvious, because nobody had anything to say and there was nothing at the Blackened Citidel or Inner Sanctum.

Ending aren't great, and I'm quite remember that in Remnant 1, the Keeper did said "our" Earth is the core now there's suddenly another Earth that is the core, someone refresh my mind on this please

Most all stories have already been told. Honestly, the voice acting was all so terrible towards the end of the game, I'd just assume see the universe end.

You know whats funny af? Ask chatgpt "how would you write a sequel of remnant from the ashes?"....

The answer will surprise you. I will only quote the end... "As the narrative reaches its climax, the protagonist and their allies must make a final stand against the ultimate embodiment of the Root's malevolence. The fate of humanity rests in their hands, and only by unlocking the secrets of the ancient past can they guide Earth towards a brighter future."

The story is made by chatgpt. Guaranteed.

Root earth is an alternate universe. Think Multiverse or whatever

Yeah, ending is kinda weak but atleast you do not die or sacrifice yourself. It seems movie and video game makers just love that crap.

Did Clementine? I honestly have no idea.

The ending felt like I'd missed several chapters where they actually explained wtf Clementine's power was. Also the Keeper was absolutely useless the whole game.

By the Keeper words in both game there should be only One Core then Labyrinth then branch out to infinite possibilities
Even taking in multiverse issue, a beyond saving universe that already been contained and isolated shouldn't continuously affect a different universe altogether

They say it's another Earth, but our Earth's weather changes to match Root Earth as soon as we unlock it?

There are weird loopholes like this that are a bit curious. Like Tal'Ratha asking me to find him in his tower and not the weird tank he's in, but then I have to specifically take his stuff to the tank? He's... never in any tower?

I think main boss in the next dlc gonna be Nimue. Story and dialogues already foreshadow that she plots something big.

Well according to the game this alternate universe is effecting other universes. Think a computer virus being contained but wasn't contained perfectly so parts of it are leaking everywhere

You do realize the root is only the enemy on yaesha right ?
However, "They want to make a DLCs to continue the story" -> yes, absolutely
