Well, I firmly believe that, as so many times before, they just screwed something up. They didn't test this game properly before release and all the problems show that very clearly ;-)
Not only that, if they are all summoners, good luck seeing anything on your screen pfff xD
I guess it makes sense why that mod broke the game after the update.
That said, Remnant: From the Ashes had no cap and for many fans of that game it gave the game more reason to grind out as you'll always progress in some way. As long as it is kept within a single player character, there is no reason to be up at arms with mods. Let people enjoy how they want to play their game.
This is like if my friend and I are playing a board game with our own custom set of rules. It isn't officially condone but we aren't affecting anyone else and as far as other people know, they don't care about our custom rules because it doesn't matter.
Like with Monster Hunter modding debate, my stance on mods are: As long as it is in single player, cosmetics, or doesn't in anyway affect other players online it is fine.
The guy you’re replying to is an anti-trait crap mod zealot. He posts about it all day on here
The trait cap is bad, period. Devs should want people grinding their game for hundreds of hours
I mod since more then 20 years, but i dont mod games i play in multiplayer. I also admit that it is actually shocking how comfortable some people speak about modding this game :-/
But yeah i guess if you play only solo or with friends wich are fine with your mods, it wont hurt legit players at least. But i do not encourage modding in multiplayer games ;-)
the devs get to decide what the power level of your character is, and if they decide to raise the cap, then they will, but the fact that they only raised it 5 points shows that its not going to be going up very much.
people can always cheat to raise the cap if they want to do that.
Just because someone is a developer, does not mean they make the best decisions. Take a look at some of the bigger games. Diablo 4 is one that has been in recent discussions where the developers constantly make bad choices but have improved a few things recently after listening to the players. The same applies to a lot of games.
A significant amount of Quality of Life improvements that developers implement is due to feedback. A game, and a business overall, that ignores the feedback of their players/users, is an entity that is working against itself.
Bingo
You mean you broke the game by modifying it?
