Ring that sets encumbrance/weight to 75 regardless of armor equipped
Leto armor set is good but it is ugly. I don't like having to equip ugly armor for my play style to be the tankiest. Anyway, the ring I hope they would add would set your encumbrance or weight to 75 regardless of armor equipped, and provides additional stats the lower from 75 your current weight is. Like if I'm wearing full Labyrinth armor (87 armor, 47 weight), equipping the ring would add 28 weight points to reach 75, then each weight point added would also add another stat like hp, or health regeneration, or lifesteal, or even armor. so even if i have low armor, i have other stats to make up for it to become tanky.

Just use Bright Steel Ring. Free fast rolls regardless armor weight.

I'm all about efficiency. That ring is only most efficient when wearing ultra heavy armor, and unfortunately the only two ultra heavy armor sets, both of which are Leto, are ugly as hell :( I want a ring that lets me be tanky no matter if I don't look the part

You could try mixture of Challenger archetype, and equip armors which take you as close as possible to 75. I don't think you have much other options here. You need just test things by trial and error...

you either fashion souls or you stat souls, there is no in-between... it's pretty important to not have transmog, also a ring that puts you to 75 no matter what should nerf you, not buff you.

im going fashion souls then; i value fashion slightly higher than stats. it just sucks for me to not have the best of both worlds on this game, I can only dream.

I really love this game though even if i'm having a tiny personal issue with it lol

But you're not. If you were all about efficiency, you wouldn't care how it looks. If you are adamant to look a certain way, then you must sacrifice some efficiency.

Even if your proposed ring existed, it might not be best-in-slot, and then would still be inefficient, unless they pushed its stats, in which case you're just asking the devs to rebalance the game so that what you want to look like results in the best stats, which is an absurd request.

I agree, I'm really not all entirely about efficiency. tbh I really just wanted (not needed) my eye candy light armor set to be at par with ultra heavy armors in terms of tanking, but in a different way of tankiness like HP, regen, or lifesteal

It actually isn't the most effective when wearing ultra-heavy, as you still take the massive stamina penality for wearing that much armor. You will still be able to dodge less frequently due to spending more stamina on each dodge, forcing you to stop and recover more often. Weightless Weight does not make up for the difference, even at 100 encumbrance it will only offer a 15% reduction in the penality (75%->60%).

You'd still be better off wearing light (no penality) or medium (25%) armor and having better stamina cost.

But if you still want to try out ultra-heavy, you could always put on the Meteorite Shard Ring: +50 encumbrance, +50% unarmed damage.

I fortunately liked the original Leto's female model since the first game, although I had little use for it then. The male model looks like a posh tin can and the mk2 looks more like an 0.5 beta version.

they do look like tin cans. i don't like how bulky they look as well but i understand that aspect is functional
