Grenade throwing Horrors in Kaeula's Rest
I've tried to find anything on those guys but couldn't, they are giving me a lot of trouble since they don't seem to have evident weaknesses and I have to drop a ton of ammo on them. Does anyone know what is their weakspot supposed to be?

(just as a clarification, I don't mean the guys with grenade launchers, I mean the Horrors that can pull a 'nade out of their chest and throw it at you)

They throw their heart. Shoot it :)

I tried shooting it but I saw it had a massive health bar so I wasn't sure it was worth it. So shooting the heart damages them then? Awesome, that should make things much easier. Thanks a heap.

the Armored Root Horrors are probably the most annoying elite enemy in the game, they don't have any weak spot, and have very very very high damage reduction to normal damage.

The three main ways to deal with them is A do what is kinda implied they want you to do, have him walk into his own sticky nade, and it'll take a chunk of his health out. Though this is a problem on higher difficulties as you need to do this a dozen times if you're not damaging him any other way.

B use explosive damage yourself! :D it seems explosive sources ignore some defense, which is why he takes a lot from his own. HOWEVER, with the game recently being patched and how damage reduction is set for enemies, it will require testing. If you have screamer rockets mod that's a safe bet, or if you upgraded the grenade launcher then that. I believe Crab swarm is also counted as explosive.

C is elemental damage, again, UNLESS THEY CHANGED IT during the patch, elemental damage shreds through defense/armor especially shock, as the overcharge explosions completely ignores armor.

Really appreciate you pitching in as well, I did rely on elemental damage whenever possible but shooting the heart can take them down in like 2-3 mag dumps. It's amazing.

I really appreciate all advice, I was getting dabbed on hard and wasn't sure what I was doing wrong. Figured you can shoot the heart before they launched it like the Dran grenadiers or that you should be able to shoot the chestpiece off or something, and it was driving me up a wall wondering what I was doing wrong.

Good suggestions here, i would add another one to the list:

D: Just shoot the heart he throws untill it explodes. will kill him even if he is far away. ;)

With Deceit(weapon) you can activate the mod, melee attack or charge to send fragment at it, and fire to deal weakspot damage regardless of its armor or defense. The problem is the reload speed and setting up the mod.
If shiny then shoot.

Helps with a lot of things in this game.
