this game is about challenge.

cheating removes that challenge.

There's no real consequence to dying. Leverage this fact to learn enemy attack patterns, try switching your rings, weapons, or mods if a particular enemy is giving you trouble.

With some practice you will start to learn good combat flow and overcome your challenges. This is when the game starts to really shine and become fun.

So don't look at dying as you're not being "gud."

See it as the opportunity it really is.

There are no mods currently that make the game easier, only harder. Game isn't that hard though especially on survivor

I don't mean that in an insulting way, but there's only one mod that will save you in the long run, and that's learning to play your games. What are you going to do? If there is no mod for this game or the next, will you stop playing it? Maybe you'll miss one of the best games you've ever played and maybe you'll grow from it, maybe you'll improve your skills a little. There are 70-year-old grandpas who play PUBG every day and pull off young guys. You don't react slower than others, but you have a bad mindset. You tell yourself you're too slow, and you've told yourself so many times that you've really started to believe it. I'm telling you, if I can beat this game, anyone can beat it. Stop banging against the wall and develop new behaviors and tactics, find out enemies' weaknesses and you will win in the end ;-)

Did he asked for your point of view? If he wants to find a mod to experience the story, hes allowed to do that. Hes interested in other things than combat and he said that pretty clearly.

Go Engineer / Summoner with heavy armour and brute force every boss on Survivor. This tactic also works on Veteran and might serve as a good stepping stone for you to get more familiar with the game while actually getting to play it.

Best of luck.

I dont think there are many mods to reduce difficulty yet you might wanna wait a bit and check nexusmods sometimes to see. it's still a recent game so mods will come slowly but surely, some are already there.

To familliarise with the game (especially certain bosses) i went full tank+regen and only tried to dodge on survivor difficulty with low level and didnt attack the boss unless i wanted them to change phases.

Really difficult to give any suggestion, assuming it's for worst skilled player. So I just gonna list them out:

Hunter : The most default-ish class & gameplay since Remnant 1
Medic : LMG might bit difficult to use because you need to keep shooting and it has low stagger so enemies still gonna swarm you.

Challenger : Might be one of better option because, it has free self-revive so you can keep trying using dodge even if you fail alot because the more you fail, the more you learn. It's drum-mag shotgun also great to spray at enemies.

Handler: Probably the best option because doggo can take aggro. Also it has well balance assault rifle.

Cheating is good actually. It's no surprise that being good at the game feel's good, but some people genuinely have too much of a skill gap to have any hope.

I had my mom play mario kart 8 once, and she was really struggling. It honestly clicked why the auto-steering mechanic was added, for players like her!

So cheat, use whatever exploits. People deserve to ENJOY games first and foremost. Screw all else. And if you don't need to cheat, then don't. I won't, but I encourage you do if you need as much.

Yeah, that's the point of most mods.

The problem is that there are sanctamonious people who act like that's okay, and insist that other players who are not on board with it should just accept it.

♥♥♥♥ that.

Um... no. Cheating is the opposite of good. It encourages instant gratification and leads to self entitlement. It should be derided, not encouraged.
