But there are still a bunch of bugs. You can bug out for example so nobody can join you but your game stays open. You can't really tell if it happens unless people join and leave immediatly I think, but yea. Restart the game in that case.
Also ran into infinite loading screen bug once today, the classic never fixed.
All multiplayer is done with Peer to Peer connections.
If you're having problems connecting to someone the problem is either on your side or on the side of the person you're connecting to.
A quick glance into the general channel on the remnant discord shows no one else complaining about connection problems.
Game was working fine when I played it last maybe 2-3 months ago.
Tried
- Disabling Firewall
- reboot pc
- verify game files
- uninstall game and reinstalled *thankfully have fast internet 80GB download took 10 mins.*
We tried to start the run back up this afternoon and they can't connect to my game, and I can't connect to anyone's game. My NAT type is showing as "Unknown."
I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, unsync and re-synced clock, I forwarded ports, DMZ'ed my PC, plugged direct into my modem; installed on Deck and tried over wi-fi, tried via Mobile Hotspot (with phone's wi-fi turned off) and finally used some else's network to try and get a known NAT type.
All failed. Warframe is also P2P, and so relies on a NAT. I load it up and it works normally.
I also noticed that Warframe is utilizing UPnP and Remnant 2 is not.
