for boss drops, the guarantee gives you a reason, for random drops, the higher chance gives you a reason, because it is more likely to get the drops on the normal maps if you look for specific ones. I should know, i start a new character all the time so i need to grab the stuff again and again
Yeah... leave it to me when it comes to deciding what I find boring or not.
I mean, it could be said about the whole game.
"Isn't it boring shooting all the time? Just play a turn-based RPG for the sake of something else. ... ... lol......"
It's an alternative mode that provides a "different challenge" and an easier way to grind xp ( and more important, corrupted shards ).
You won't get anything zone/puzzle/quest related, so, if you want something specific, you'll have to play adventure ( or even campaign, for some items requiring 2 worlds/biomes in the same campaign ).
Finally, boss rush difficulty is easier than adventure/campaign in the same difficulty, so this is pheraphs the reason there's nothing to do ( because DLC content apart, Gunfire failed to provide a challenging endgame. Prism is not required as one can already stomp every single boss no matterwhat ).
But knowing this, unless being compulsive and feel the urge to do achievements, get perfect prisms or unlock all items in the whole game, one can just keep playing until they have fun, and then move on a different game
Yes, I know.
Again with "Agents of Mayhem", in order to unlock more chars, you have to play the game normally.
But still, many rewards for activities are just lying around in chests.
I mean, aren't people complaining about the alt kill for the Nightweaver?
Now you just get the weapon randomly.
I understand the Boss-Rush very well... I just don't understand why we get random regional rewards and boss weapon from it.
It would have been more organic to have a chance of a boss mutator and/or weapon after defeating a boss the reward belongs to.
But obtaining some hard-to-get stuff just randomly as a reward is really weird.
I mean, it's cool and all, it's always a nice surprise after finishing a run.
It just makes parts of the game more uninteresting and less appealing.
It's just a mere time sink with no difficulty involved ( there's nothing hard to get stuff that I am aware of ).
edit: The worst that may happen is to clear veteran hardcore and the game bugs and doesn't give savior as reward ( It happened to me, but I am talking about september 2023... so hopefully it's fixed. but even getting savior from veteran hc is just a mere timesink, as it can be exploitable with coop ).
People complaining in droves about the alt kill of the Nightweaver.
Even assuming that one to be difficult ( which is not, as it doesn't involve a specific difficult to make the kill ).
- People complained ( some are still )about the labirinth sentinel and annihilation.
- Some others are still complaining about Bruin and Dullain because of their telegraphed one shot moves.
- Recently, someone even complained about lydusa dps check.
If we were to listen to complaints, remnant 2 would be a so damn difficult game... but truth is it's not, and what a player needs to unlock stuff is just time ( and save guardian if the play on pc ). It wasn't hard back then after apocalypse nerfs, and it's no hard now with the load of powercreep ( more trait points, better items/weapons, etc... ), even without considering the prism system ( a ton of extra powercreep ).
