1. dont farm it over and over if that isnt fun for you.
2. dont use the same build even though others might be slower.
The issue is that some of us expected the same endgame we had on RftA with survival mode ( every run was different ), but instead we got Boss Rush ( meant to make the players grind ) and the prism system ( grind grind grind ).
Leaving apart boss rush issues like:
- No difficulty ( apocalypse is a joke )
- No reconnect options
- Disconnect/Crash issues ( memory leak and similar )
- Bug upon completion ( Defeat for those who joined the host )
it's pretty understandable that after a couple runs one might start feeling it boring and repetitive ( but hey! That's the point of the boss rush and prism system ).
At least I hope those who complained since the release because the lack of tome grind ( like in RftA ) are now happy, since they can grind over and over.
Theres a mod on nexus that let u get as many traits as u want - problems is as long as u use it u cant play public coop. And if u activate all traits regarding heal, health and damage reduction u become pretty OP. But jea they should balance the game about having more traitpoints but in a more balanced way
