How to reset a prism prior to max level?

My first prism rolled four incompatible stats, meaning I can't really do anything useful with it, and I want to reset it.
I've read that the only option is to level the thing to maximum, but considering that they can brick as early as lvl 4, I suspect that other options are available (it'd be quite an extrenuous waste of time otherwise, and I believe the devs have learned from mistakes like the consumable stat resets to not go such a time-intensive route again).

What other ways are there to undo the levels on this thing? :)

Alternatively, should bringing it to maximum really be the only option, is there a way to edit a savegame and reset it/cheat it up to maximum to enable a reset that way?

I don't mind starting with a fresh one, but I don't want to spend dozens more hours on a ruined piece of gear just to get rid of it. :)

Get another prism and start fresh or wait til the patch and you can reset at lvl 10.
