Remnant has some of the best designed boss fights of any Souls like. Even one of the best Souls players in the world, Esoterickk said the last boss was one of the best he's ever fought in a Souls-like game.
ehhhh idk dude i may glaze remnant 2 as much as the next guy but Annihilation is kinda ass though that may be just cause i think root earth is kinda underwhelming in general
Unfortunately, the game is not made for all. One build may take a boss but not the other.
The best is to search the web for a built that is acceptable to you.
in elden ring also only 5-10 unique memorable bosses, the rest are mobs from the open world with increased hp.
Losomn:
Red Prince, Faelin/Fairin, Nightweaver, Sunken Witch, and Bruin
Yaesha: Ravager, Kuela's Shadow, Lydusa, and Stoneward
Nerud: Sha' Hala
Root Earth: Venom, and of course Annihilation.
Cube boss is fun as well, but I don't count that one.
Except for Annihilation.
Annihilation is not fun or fair. It would have been fine except for the flippy, floppy sensory overload BS the devs decided to include. Phase 2 would be hard enough without jumping back and forth like that.
I don't know what everyone has against Annihilation but Venom is much worse.
Some not already mentioned challenging bosses for me are:
N'erud: The Custodian's Eye
Losomn: Magister Dullain
Custodian's Eye and Magister, huh? Pretty good picks, but easy for me, regardless of difficulty. Witch and Shadow are fun for me on apocalypse specifically, imo. Witch, because of the limited space to battle in, and Shadow with the waist-deep waters to limit space (granted it is easy to cap on tho). As for Annihilation, I was originally annoyed. But quickly got use to it, and he grew on me. Venom and Annihilation are fun as F*ck! Especially, on Apoc.
Agreed, at least they toned down all bosses simply having "MOAR ADDS" as a mechanic. It was irritating in R1 especially if you were solo'ing.
Though I've gotten used to Annihilation, it's still by far my least favorite boss in the entire game. Mostly because it's such a let down narrative-wise when compared to R1's final boss (or even the final DLC's).
This also applies to Root Earth as a biome. It was obvious they were running out of time, so they simply turned it into a boss rush mode. Such a shame too because the lore from item flavor texts paint an interesting picture. I mean, how could we go all the way there and NOT meet a sentient Root to converse with? Instead we encounter Clawbone chilling in a side dungeon from a DLC...sigh.
