Game is unplayable need help
Choppy, stuttering, laggy during start up and about 20 sec when i load into the ward 13. Everything goes away and i get my 160fps back, game runs perfect. After 20 or so min when i hit the door to go to a new map in boss rush the loading screen freezes and the game crashes after a min of waiting back to the steam page. This started happening a few weeks ago and its gotten worse. Pc is in perfect health with new parts i just upgraded. zero issues with other games. I tried uninstalling with no success. Game ran perfect for months and started acting up on the dlc releases.
Can anyone please help

Ur current hardware specs would be a good start. And in march u reported u had all steamgames crashing - how u fixed that?
Regarding to the response u got back than - i have a Razer Trinity Naga for a long time now, the software is total garbage yes, but it never crashed any game for me, not even on 10 year old hardware, that doesnt have to mean aynthing, im just saying.

Any other new Unreal Engine 5 (or in general UE) games that run totaly fine in comparison?
Remnant 2 is a very demanding game - could be that everything else u play doesnt trigger something in ur system, but Remnant 2 does - maybe faulty PowerSupply, RAM, GPU.
Mabye overheating. Do u have a second screen where u can monitor ur system live and see whats happening?
U could research how to get info from ur system about the crashes, theres logs. Those logs can give u a hint whats malfunctioning

Feeding a search engine with AI help with ur issues gives this:

I have found that using the NVIDIA Studio Driver on my 2060 Super runs everything perfectly. The game used to crash frequently when it was first launched. I later ran into problems with my power supply unit overheating and crashing but I did not realise that was causing shutdowns. Now works without any issues. An i9 9th generation setup.

The first post was fixed by swapping the gpu for a new one. That problem effected all my games. It was a bad gpu.
Current set up is a new 14900k ( yes the bios is updated). 4090 gpu. 7200 ddr5. 1500 power supply. Water cooled with a chiller. Cpu gpu ram was tested, everything is fine. With this setup remnant 2 played perfectly fine until one day it didn't. Every other game is playing perfect. Something happened with remnant 2 where the game has degraded with time. First it started with a rough start up, lag, chop until i get into ward 13. Gave it a few sec to stabilize and i was playing for hours zero issues. Now the start up is worse, takes longer to stabilize in ward 13 and it crashes at a certain point when hitting the door to a new map. So im lost. I unfortunately am no good at software and problem solving and i dont know anyone that would be able to help. The pc is about 120 pouunds with the chiller so moving it to a store for diagnostic isn't really an option. Especially since its only one game thats not working. Very big shame, i do like the game

I tried uninstalling the game yesterday. After new install the start up became better the game stabilized faster but unfortunately still crashed when i tried going to the next map for boss 10. Which is better because it would crash to home screen on like boss 6. Could this be a problem with the game?

So looks like my game is bugged. I just played a few hours with zero issue however my boss rush gauntlet less than half way through crashes to home screen. I did the first 2 modes multiple time with no problems. Adventure mode is fine and story mode is fine. Damn this pisses me off.

Hmmm sounds to me like u still have a problem with ur system. I would run a benchmark software to put the system really under strain, for cpu nd gpu (furmark comes to mind), if that doesnt crash, run a ram test software.
But regarding my experience UE games are always a little bit special
Did all that for hours dude. Passed with flying colors

For me the game seems to run better since this last patch.
Im on 5600x | 6700xt all on high, detailed shadows off, Upscaling FSR and Frame Gen enabled. Most scenes above 100 fps. Some scenes can still cause 30% fps drops though, but seems to me its not as bad anymore as it was.
I play on ultra setting at 4k. 150-160 frames at all times. Well not at start up, ill see 10 frames if im lucky before it stabilizes. Im playing with buddy right now. He is having the same problem i am after this patch. Its definitely not my pc than

Mmm did u try to manually clear the shader cache? Amd Adrenalin has that option. Cant remember if Nvidia has that, but should be doable
I dont know how to do that or what that is

I've had the same problem since the last update. I checked game file integrity, and so far it worked.

Dude the game is compiling shaders. It's totally normal that it will dip in fps on startup.
