similar shooting/coop games in remnant 2?

Remnant 2 is way too unique to be called "similar" to anything else but If you want some similarities as for "co op shooter" in general I could recommend :
- Helldivers 2 , probably heard of it
- Outriders 2
- Alien Fireteam elite
- World war Z
- Farcry 5 (community made content , maps and game modes are incredible for this game, and no it doesn't need any kind of modding)
- Division 1 specially the end game content (I would've suggested division 2 one month earlier but ubisoft just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up)

Good list, but yeh like this person mentioned remnant is unique because of its darksouls style gameplay.

Also to add to that list for coop 3rd person shooters;

- Gears of War
- Earth Defense Force
- Warframe

Idk, I am not sure there are other souls like that requires to aim and look for weakspots.

Some bosses in darksouls have weakspots which can be hit even in melee.

I'm honestly still taking issue with this being classified as a souls like. I just don't see it. Diablo with guns more like it. In fact, I'll tell you exactly what this reminds me of - Hellgate London. If anyone still remembers that game.

From my experience with the game there are games similar just not usually shooters. Darksouls (ehh), Demons Souls (my fav game), Dead Space remastered (shooter), Returnal (shooter Roguelite), and bloodborne will probably scratch that itch.

Yes, because it has guns and is in 3rd person with coop. Also the game has darksouls style gameplay to it as well with boss creatures.

Gunlance, light bowgun, and heavy bowgun come to mind.

Yeah, but nothing even close to stand still and aim to weakspots no on melee range.
Totally different to have to face a specific direction in melee against some bosses or aim for weakspot with ranged weapons all the time.

ps: but most important, if one likes the gun part, suggesting any ds won't probably do.

MH existed long before dark souls was a thing, so there's that. Saying it has "dark souls style" is extremely silly. Also game is primarily melee combat oriented, just because it has a few guns doesn't make it a shooter lol.

The first Remnant reminded me of Hellgate London so much so that I specifically got in to it when it came out for that reason. Never looked back.

The maps being random, the atmosphere, weapons and armor, aesthetic, and the loot all remind of when I played Hellgate London.

Only thing that is souls like to me is the death penalties and save points, also the dodge rolls.

Sounds like sarcasm to me, since everyone knows remnant is a 3rd person melee game and a shooter.

So that out of the way, we are in agreement that monster hunter is in a similar game style as remnant 2 in many ways including that is indeed a 3rd person shooter and a melee game.

Which wouldn't you know it, also a similar game style as darksouls...
