And then there are items that you will NEVER figure out on your own, because the intended "solution" was to datamine how to get it from the files, and then for that knowledge to spread into the community via posts and wikis.
So either you play the game and accept you won't see a large portion of it, or you have one or both wikis open to refer back to. It's just that type of game.
Secret walls actually do have tells, if you miss them that is on you.
Only Archon archetype was meant to intentionally be found through datamining. That was the entire purpose of it and intention of the devs. Everything else is easily found just by playing the game.
The purpose of this game is to re-roll the campaign / adventure and replay to discover new areas and new collectables / items. That is the sole purpose of the game.
Some secrets are designed to be found by utilising the Explorer class that displays the location of them (which also helps if there are hidden walls / entrances etc)
Some secrets can be found by listening to the dialogs of npc's or reading descriptions on items.
