Alepsis-Taura phase two

What are the tells I'm missing? I can't figure out what these tentacles are doing, it feels completely random.

what I've found is the shield skill that can be applied to common weapons is a great deterrent on his third phase, since AT spams the same attack over and over without letting up, the shield buys you a second for weapons that require a charge time.

I am on second walkthrough, why I can’t see this weapon with Dwell I wonder? Actually I can’t seem to see any weapons with Dwell, am I missing something here?

The corrupted versions of the weapons will only be shown once you obtain the original version. Also, Savior is the reward for beating the game in Hardcore mode, on Veteran difficulty or higher.

Funny enough I had an easier time with the entire run on HC Vet than Alepsis Taura APOC fight. Got pretty lucky with my spawns, though. Got Ravager so skipped him, Tal Ratha normal is not very difficult w/ Abomination as the only mandatory fight. And Losomn was Nightweaver, but was also the first world. Not even Dulain - it was Prince, so I could skip him, too. After Weaver was done, I knew it was basically ez street. Granted, I'm not very good at Sha'hala. I would've been terrified to fight Sentinel Bot and Sha'hala. Those platforms can absolutely screw you at the best of times on Sentinel Bot, and Sha'hala has some spooky moves, too.

I still haven't finished mine. Ironically enough, I actually got the furthest on my first attempt, but I died to Spectral Sha'hala as the 3rd world boss; I hesitated for a second during the shadow phase and doubled back to revive my dog companion, only to get struck by The Hand.

After that, I died several times to dumb stuff, like failing a jump I've done before hundreds of times, or just plain bad luck. Like getting a teleporting root sniper aberration, with the teleporter suffix on top of that.

Its aiming at me, but I'm in the clear, right? Nope; instantly teleports behind me right before shooting and hits me point blank. And of course, just when I think I got a handle on the situation, three root hollows come rolling out of nowhere so I get attacked from all sides at once while Die-Hard is in cooldown.

The furthest I've gotten at the moment is a character I've been playing with a friend. We continue the hardcore campaign when our mutual friend is not available and its just us. Its been a slower paced but steady progress so far.

I died so many times to The Stupid in HC it's honestly embarrassing. Trying needlessly risky platforming or jumps (and obviously failing), getting squashed by labyrinth sentinel repeatedly, getting command grabbed by enemies with instant-kill moves...

Yes, me too, to all of the above. In my defense, I haven't died THAT many times, but that's simply because I haven't made that many HC characters to begin with; I'm pretty sure its less than 10.

But most of my deaths have indeed, been to The Stupid. So you're not alone.

Died once to Lab Sentinels by walking into a hole on an early attempt. You are not alone boys.
