With a reasonable direct damage build, it deals 2,000.
Now consider that it can spread that damage to multiple enemies, and you multiply that dps. It also has good stagger with the primary fire.
It has a niche, I've used it alongside the hunting rifle with Detonator, which was fine, I guess.
So it's moved up in the world from pretty rubbish to basically acceptable.
If you don't like the mod, you can run a hunter/gunslinger setup with Anguish + Repulsor AND the Onyx Pendulum + Provisioner ring can deal massive gun fire damage too.
I'm curious though. What amulet did you end up choosing for the build?
Building into mod damage, I can see how it would be very powerful, however, that's too thinky a build for me. I like the low effort Ritualist / Invoker and it's never ending Dot, when the cooldown is shorter then the status duration.
Which it should be considering how hard it is to get.
The changes in the patch are kinda whatever, makes it a little more usable in more builds but aside from that it's still one of the best weapons in the game.
If you dont understand how simple build crafting works dont come here crying we arent stupid we see that you are stupid.
