Both Dlcs are fun IMO and they are relatively cheap compared to other games but you could also wait for the 3rd dlc to release and see how they all are via reviews and make your decision then. i would say get them but i think im biased since i played the previous title remnant from the ashes when it released so i really enjoy the franchise.
- beat the game
- start gear hunt to max character ( here I used save guardian to see drops, but depending on how much time you are ready to put into completing char you might want to embrace the rng )
- realise that 8 build slots are too few to use even half of the gear
- find other ways to store builds and keep making them until you think that’s enough ( I stopped at 25 or so for now )
- that’s it more or less, then just keep playing different builds so long it is fun
First off, well done. Annihilation is a difficult fight to learn.
Download Remnant Save Guardian.

It makes backups of your save file and it analyzes your campaign and adventures, then shows you what encounters and uncollected items are in that roll. It's very helpful for tracking down the well over 200 items in the game.
When you re-roll campaign or adventure mode, you keep everything you have except for some quest items.
You want to re-roll to explore all the different biomes and dungeons. In your playthrough you saw about half of the base game.
You may also want to increase the difficulty you're playing on. If you've found yourself loving the combat, upping the difficulty might give you more of what you like.
As far as buying DLCs, buy them for the combat more than the story. If you find yourself wanting more areas, more boss fights, more quests, then you'll probably like the DLCs. First one is better than the second, so maybe try that one first before picking up the second.
Have fun 😁
Edit: Almost forget to say that the point of picking up more items is so you can put together more builds. A lot of the fun in R2 is switching between archetypes and loadouts to change your playstyle to whatever you're feeling. I've had the most fun with my light armor stealth bow hunter build, and my speed tank that uses knuckle dusters to run up and "one punch man" mobs.
