Getting one shot in the DLC
Title explains it, playing the fae dlc and i'm getting steamrolled by pretty much every enemy that lands a hit on me. currently at the witch and a single swipe from her anchor just puts me to sleep. i'm new to the game so i get it's a me issue and would appreciate any advice on how to build a defense and tank more hits.

maybe relevant info:
Power lvl - 11 / hunter and medic build / Vigor maxed / Trinkets and rings are all geared for dmg to some extent / lightest armor i have because the heavier armor doesn't seem to noticeably help and i like a faster roll

you either build entirely for damage and use skill to stay alive, or you build entirely into tanking to just take more hits.
for tanking, lifesteal, shields, and healing over time are generally better than raw % damage reduction, but % dr also helps quite a lot in higher difficulties.

Second Skill of the medic class could carry you for the entire game on lower difficulties and worth investing into skill cooldown and skill duration for a very basic build .

That or build for using skills for damage or use summons as well.

I would say building into skills kinda falls into the damage category, as it is more or less building into one thing solely to have higher damage

recently got the game, started the story. First boss I find is the witch with an anchor in the cramped arena. Using pet handler class.
so far the game was alright but that boss kinda pulled the fun out of it. idk what the chances of it being my first boss are but.. it is.

Witch boss is kind of mid , You just have to destroy the barriers in the area to be able to keep a healthy distance away from her , her attack pattern is very lame .
