base game or ultimate edition (base game + DLCs). Which you pick depends on how much you expect to enjoy R2, but you can always upgrade later with the dlc bundle.
deluxe doesn't matter, because all its bonuses can be unlocked in base game anyway - not instantly, but you won't miss out on anything.
Someone complained about me calling the armor sets in Deluxe "Cosmetic" in the last thread so I'mma just throw in a disclaimer and say: yes the armor sets on offer have stats, BUT they're no better or worse than other armor sets you can loot in game. Armor stats in Remnant 2 are mostly a non-factor (they determine your evade type, raw damage resist and status resist, but status resist does barely anything). I bought Ultimate when this game first came out and I've never even used any of the armor sets my pack gave me.
Point being Deluxe is not worth buying over ultimate.
You can think of this game's DLC as "more of the same". If you enjoyed the base game, you'll enjoy the DLC too.
Likewise, if you don't enjoy the base game you won't enjoy the DLC.
Imo? Just buy the base game if you're not sure. It already has 50-100 hours of content by itself. If you've fought all the different bosses in the base game (there are more than you can see in a single playthrough) and still want to play more then you should consider buying the DLC.
