wtf devs?? rip framegen
So they removed the ability to use a mod to enable framegen for 20/30 cards. HOLY ♥♥♥♥ WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT

Your game runs like ♥♥♥♥ in some areas and the mod literally doubles my fps while I can set graphics from low to high. Why on earth would you ever remove the ability to do that?

You can use FSR Frame Gen without the mod. Also they didn't "remove" the ability to use the mod. The game has updated and the mod needs to be updated as well. Though the dev has seemingly abandoned it, so good luck.

You're projecting a little there. They added FSR frame gen ages ago. The mod also uses FSR frame gen, however the mod allowed you to use DLSS upscaling and FSR frame gen. I used the mod too.

I decided to look into this for luls. The reason Nukem9's DLSSG to FSR3 mod broke is because of the update to Nvidia Streamline. Simply downgrading Remnant's streamline DLLs to version 2.2.1 will fix the mod. That said, I can't say for sure whether that will cause issues in the game, and even though I use Remnant Save Guardian, I won't be testing further. I can just confirm the mod works.

In case someone wants it for whatever reason here's how to do it. If you break your game/computer/save or whatever it's not my problem. Install at your own risk. This won't be an issue once FSR 3.1 releases anyway so that's why the DLSSG mod development is abandoned.

1. Download this mod for Starfield: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/2751?tab=files&file_id=17107

We don't care about Starfield, we want the streamline DLLs located here:
Data > SFSE > Plugins > nv-streamline. You want all of them.
Note: You COULD use steam to download the previous version of Remnant 2 and take the DLLs from there, but this would be faster.

2. Go to your Remnant 2 game folder > Remnant2 > Plugins > Shared > Binaries > ThirdParty> Win64 and rename all of the DLLs beginning with sl. to something with .bak or you can just delete them. _LEAVE NVNGX_DLSSG.DLL AND NVNGX_DEEPDVC.DLL ALONE!_

3. Put all the DLLs from the Starfield mod in the folder from the previous step.

4. Install the DLSSG to FSR3 mod if it's not already and launch the game.

If you use a mod, that's up to you. We don't mind. We didn't do anything to try to prevent it. This is a dll issue (as noted above).

When I turn on the frame Gen now on my 20-Series cards the screen turns purple, when I swtch it off it goes back to normal, any idea?

Reviving this topic for those who find it via google.... The dlssg-to-fs3 mod still works as of the DLC2 update. Just gotta use the universal version of the mod, usethe files from the dll_version folder to your rem directory per usual.

While FSR3.0 frame generation is native now, if you're on a 20xx or 30xx series NVIDIA GPU then you can use the mod to gain access to frame gen while still taking advantage of the superior DLSS upscaler!

DLSS 3.x Frame gen is officially supported only on 40 series cards. It sounds like you are blaming the game dev instead of the mod developer for not updating their mod for some reason.
