Polygun is such an incredible weapon!
It's a shotgun and a sniper!

Unlimited ammo!

Fastest reload and magazine capacity of most weapons in those classes!

Hitscan! (dosnt look it but it is)

All you have to do is a simple mini game!

An honestly easy to grasp "gimmick" if you just stick with it. I can easily hit the mark most times without even looking and with 2 shots per reload to hit that unlimited shooting buff very quickly.

When you hit that 3 reload threshold and then get 13 shots per 1 second reload you are sitting pretty. And for having around 13 shots for a shotgun or sniper class weapon that's insanely good!

Some tips and tricks for Polygun

1. This goes for every gun but I think many players don't realize this. You can reload while dodging! You can spam dodge and it won't interrupt reloading. So start the reload and immediately dodge or reload while dodging to safely have time to play the the little minigame without getting hurt for "focusing" on it.

2. I call this the 2,2,3,3. The easiest way to hit that bottomless clip buff. If you do 2 shots, reload, 2 shots, reload, 3 shots reload, 3 shots reload, you will now have max stacks.

3. Don't be determined to get max stacks. Just fight and reload when you see fit. Just try to at least fill the purple bar half way at minimum to have easy reloads. I have gotten max stacks with 1 shot per relaod!

4. Sounds are key! Much like everything else in this game you could play with you eyes closed it seems with sound ques alone! This gun is no different. If you start the reload and press reload again the moment you hear the sound this gun makes that means the arrow is dead center! This is how I get perfect reloads with only 1 bullet shot! Get use to the sound que and you will then get the timing naturally down.

5. Practice practice practice! Just sit in Ward 13 running around dodging and just shoot anywhere. The gun has unlimited ammo so you are not constrained to the shooting area. Learn the sound que, try to get the perfect reload without looking, reload while dodging ect.

6. Messing up isnt the end of the world. Other then the cooldown animation taking some time, you can still dodge so its not like you are unsafe. Also you can all but ignore the shock. It does little to no damage. Also I don't know the exact circumstances that causes this but you can mess up, take the shock but not get a cooldown timer. So you can just start building stacks again after taking a tickle of damage.

This weapon is very underrated. I understand the DLC is still very new. But it's funny when I help players in their game while using this and especially more so if they die and I finish a boss fight with it. To later see them trying to use it after then immediately switch back to the weapon they were using previously. Goes to show many aren't even willing to try and get the hang of it.

Which is good because maybe they will buff it down the road! But for those willing to put in the time and understand this weapon it will be one of your favorites in no time!

I liked this. I am going to try and get it tonight and wanted some thoughts on it.

Just too bad it's another one of those things that requires you to beat the game first to get. At least it seems so, since you cannot get the Explorer Archetype until you beat Annihilation.

Right now I'm just looking for weapons to help me beat the final boss. This one should be useful for when I play on Nightmare though. Currently I'm just playing on Veteran difficulty.

Technically, you can get the weapon by joining another player's world. Only account bound items require personal achievements.

The issue is you can deal same or more damage with other weapons that just require to hold down left click.
