I'm still using it to smash scrap. There is a trait that affects AOE maybe that does something to it?

The aura trait used to increase the aoe size wich was huge. Then people used the bore mod to create weakspots on bosses and the sword hit it multiple times or something.
It was not op and they could bring it back, minus the exploits in builds
