Do you want a survival mode?
Just wondering how many people would play a survival mode if they added it.

No way, the game can't support a proper survival mode because it functions very different from the first game.
At best we will get a hoarde mode where we fight randomised waves coming at us for the same rewards as survival mode

Yes please. Not a fan of hoard mode stuff. Hoard mode just feels like lazy programming IMO.

ill take a horde mode as well. there is no reason to not add both. for survival they can add booster cards since rem 2 does not have the trait bloat of rem 1.

I am really hoping they can find a way to do it. Survival was a blast and great to hop in with friends when you dont have a lot of time. Only big issue is all the extra customability in remnant 2. While great for general gameplay, it's detrimental to a survival in the way it was with Ashes. I'm sure it's possible and they know how popular it was. If they can find a way to make it work, then I think we'll get it. Issue is all the relics fragments and mutators that play a HUGE role in builds now. Whereas in Ashes, it was just weapons, traits and trinkets. We still have all of those PLUS now we have to account for leveling archetypes.

I think they could make it work if they made it similar to POE and WOW do discovery modes. Think, no archetypes but you can either choose from a random 'slot machine' of three skills from all archetypes 1 every 5 levels. Up to 4 total and then you can replace some or take a free trait point instead.

Relics would all be scaled at the pace of the world difficulty climbing from cracked to mythic and randomly dropped from elites or chests.

Weapons and armor can work the same.

I think it could work. Biggest hurdle is the archetypes. Could even be simpler if you just choose a starting one at the beginning of the match, then get to choose a second at level 5 or so. But I think the roulette would be more interesting and play into the "get what you get" idea.

Hell yeah, loved it on Remnant From the Ashes, the rogue-like "ish" experience was fun since every run was different, but naturally they can't translate it one to one in this game so if they do add it somehow I hope they keep the whole rng gear aspect but also make it better than what it was in RFTA.

They got limited resources, and I'd prefer they'd spend them on core game, maybe season 2 DLCs after the initial ones, similar to how owlcat did it.
