You can see amount of damage reduction in percentage at detailed stats and it worked as it looks.

It's more or less the same as Dark Souls.

Heavier armor provides more raw Damage Resist, but also slows your evade.

The status resistances that armor provides is largely inconsequential, as most enemies don't inflict status effects.

Armor is mostly cosmetic now, keep it under 50 weight and its all you need to know

Was looking at the armors, thats seems to be fairly true, it's just armor vs weight, I didn't see set bonuses anymore

It gives damage reduction, heavier the armor the higher the damage reduction. Hover over the armor value to see the damage reduction percent.

Every weight level, except the red one, can dodge every consecutive attack from any one enemy. If you position correctly and all that, practically any armor is good.

Its not just your evade though. Equipping heavier armor also incurs in a penalty to your stamina consumption, so you have to keep that in mind when you're running or using charged melee attacks.

Everyone just run Leto.

There is no variation in Armor

Get on US servers, I relatively rarely see anyone running Leto, I or II.

Can't. P2P is bad for multiplayer where I am

If by status resistances, you mean blight, then you are correct. Elemental damage however, is not affected by armor value, but is affected by resistances. You will notice when you shrug off most attacks, and then an elemental attack suddenly tears you a new one. To be fair, there are better ways of raising elemental resistance than armor.

armor by itself matters to a certain degree - after some amount of armor stacked mobility drops drastically, so it's questionable to stack it more.

on the other side - some builds could crank overall DR to 80% cap, while saving a lot of mobility. So it 's more about "quality tank build matters" than "armor matters"
