re2 is a better made game per say
has a first time experience
However Re1 felt more arcady which made expeditions faster hence made replayability alot more enjoyable
Re2 zones are all dark and while the boss are better..
it actually lacks proper world Mobs and actually has simply too many puzzles
making it just feels like a chore..
And of course it is lacking the extra modes
It's not a disaster like the transformation of Darkest Dungeon 1 (peak greatness) into DD2 (dumpster fire).
Edit: thx for the points local fanboi policeman
I think 50% dont like this game coz game score same as the first one.
If people like dark souls them cant love this game. Only sit play doom
no im suprised I get it. anyway game is uinstalled now....
R1 has better overall game flow, better balance, better level design, cooler secrets, better immersion, and more sensible equipment. These 160+ rings are just stupid if you only end up using 1/3 anyway. I agree that it gives you the freedom to wear what you want. But in my opinion it was better that you had to carefully choose what to wear in R1. Sometimes having more isn't better, it's worse, and I think it's even worse in R2.
But and this is something a lot of people complain about in R2, instead you have all the traits for it and it was fun to improve them, it gave you a real sense of character progression and in the end made the character work very well. In R2, the limit requires you to skip some of the most common traits. Added to this is the extremely poor implementation of the co-op mode in R2, which for me is the absolute heart of a Remnant game. The co-op mode is the reason I put 300-400 hours into R1.
There is also no voice chat or other means of direct communication in R2, communication is not possible in a damn coop game, what a joke. The only thing I really like in R2 is the skill system with the 2 active skills you have. If that had been in R1, wow ;-)
