Mother mind fog wall - bugged?

Joined a player, tried to enter the fog wall multiple times. Each time I touched it I just got instakilled.
Is this normal? Changed my loadout, same thing. Left as to not irritate the host. What's going on?

It's a weird glitch for that fight. Sometimes the platform disappears but you can still stand on it. But I've experienced the same glitch where shortly after entering the room, I die no matter where I'm standing.

This was walking into the fogwall. The fogwall killed me as if it had a killplane scripted in. Even if I entered first. Seems the player I joined could only enter.

You joined what I would call a cursed session. It happens

Just happened to me in a 3 player session. I was the only person that it was happening to and it was really annoying bug. Might be a ping issue.
