Late to the party, but I’m hoping for this as well. SFF pc’s have come such a long way. With big picture mode and cross-play on most of the games that matter, I've not touched my PS5 for a year.

I believe that if you download the game on PC from GamePass you can continue it on Steam

It is possible but not straightforward since save files from GamePass / xbox app on PC are handled differently. You will have to properly identify which file is which, rename them and put in your steam saves folder.

i did it a few months ago, the game on Steam reconized the save

The game has cross save for Xbox & the Microsoft version on PC. I'm not aware of any ways to play Ps5 save files on PC. You can transfer your Microsoft/Gamepass save files to steam. There's Youtube videos on how to do it. So, you can transfer your Xbox saves to the Microsoft/Gamepass version on PC. Then transfer those Save files to Steam by watching a YT video.
