How to make modding work?

Tried to put allow asset mod and better sagestone mod to deal with the super tedious archetype leveling but it wont work. I did a vortex installation and it seems to have made a second mod file in the win64 file. I tried following manual instructions and moving files to correct places and deleting extra mod file but it didn't work. Tried looking for youtube tutorials but just got spammed with videos about the mod system in game. Anybody got any idea what i need to do?

For starters, quit using Vortex because it's a POS.

Download the mods manually, unzip them, drop the folders in Remnant2 -> Binaries -> Win64 -> Mods.

I tried to. I downloaded and unpacked the files then moved them into the mods folder in the place you specified but it's still not working. No idea what to do from here. My win64 file is becoming a mess. No idea what should or should not be in there anymore. Modded a bunch of other games recently and hasn't been a massive drama

That mod comes with a stupid folder structure.

BetterSagestone > Remnant2 > Binaries > Win64 > Mods > BetterSagestone.

The first BetterSagestone folder is completely unnecessary. You just need to extract the Remant2 folder to the base folder of the game and it'll install the mod. Since you've already extracted the mod to the mods folder just go through all of the folders until you get to the second BetterSagestone folder and copy the Scripts folder and enabled.txt file to the first BetterSagestone folder.

Gave that go, but no go. I can see what your saying but everything is so messed up i need a fresh install at this point. Thx for the reply though, i'm sure this will come in handy once i get my ducks in a row again.

Were you able to get the mods working? The mood I'm trying to get going is the 4+ player mod but I'm having problems.

Nope i generally just use workshop or if the game has a youtube video showing set up for mods i might do that but this game has neither so i never bothered.
