i know steam and epic can play cross play, but can pc xbox game pass owners also play with steam players?

Edit 7/12/2023 --> Currently no cross-play between game pass and steam/epic but i read smth in internet about pc game pass players and xbox players can play with each others.

New Edit 30/12/2023 --> As many people stated in other forums (also under this topic), PC game pass users and Steam and Epic users can play with each others. No matter which platform you play on PC, you can play with your friends on other PC platforms as long as you match your Epic account with your Remnant account. (I haven't tested the game pass myself, but since many players have stated that they can do this, I accept it as true) but be careful about game versions. Sometimes there is some version mismatch between platforms.

There is Crossplay among all three platforms(Epic - Steam- Game Pass) , you just have to link to Epic if your not playin on EGS, and invite via the overlay(shift + F3), However, it is not working right now because the game is getting a lot of hot fixes on steam , but not on gamepass and you can't play together if you have different versions of the game.

Same here, it's a shame I have two other friends that have the game on game pass, and can't play with them since 2 days ago ( some update). I hope this gets fixed soon

I wonder how you guys invited steam players while playing on xbox gamepass, any idea ?

And do we have news from the devs ? They talked about crossplay on August, it's been a while now.

Hi you need to connect your epic account with your remnant account like i said in first comment. If i remember correct you can do it where u choose your character and press start play or smth like that. Latest comments said there is some problem about playing cross-platform[for pc] after patch but idk lastest state.

There is different issue from current situation for me when i first tried to connect my epic account to steam. Maybe your friend had same issue too.

I already connect my epic and steam accounts for some other game and when i tried in remnant to connect my epic account page never comes. So i read it somewhere if there is a bug if your epic account already connected to your steam you need to unlink first. Then i unlinked my steam account from epic and tried to link it again in game page comes and succesfully linked it.

If your friend had something other than this prob. cause of latest patches or smth.

That's right.

1 - You have to link within the game itself

2 - Steam version is ahead of Epic's and GamePass's Versions, have to wait for those to get updated as well to play together

Steam and Epic get updates simultaneously. It's only the Game Pass version that is delayed.

So, anybody know whats going on?

My friend has gamepass, I have steam. We did everything. Unlinked, relinked in game. We can see each other in overlay inside game.

Invite to one another...it joins and immediately says NETWORK ERROR or disconnect. Can't join one another.

EDIT: Just saw that GP version not updated yet. LAME

The game also need to be the same version on both in other for crossplay to work.. all invite and joining is done thru the epic link.. I ended up buying the game on steam because at the time of this writing xbox is a version behind and I was no longer able to play with my friends.

REMANNT 2 COMO JUGAR ENTRE XBOX GAME-PASS Y STEAM
Para las personas que hablan español y son un poco malos con el ingles aquí hay puntos que deben tener en cuenta para jugar juntos.

EXPLICACIÓN
Para lograr jugar entre Game-pass y Steam es necesario utilizar a Epic Games como intermediario, a continuación describiré los pasos que funcionaron para nosotros.

PASOS A SEGUIR,
1 - Linkea tu cuenta de Steam con Epic Games a travez de la interfaz de Remnant 2
2 - Inicia el juego mientras tengas Epic Games en ejecución, de esta forma tendrás acceso al Overlay de Epic Games estando en Steam o en Xbox Game Pass, (shift + F3)
3 - Invita a tus amigos a través del Overlay de Epic Games, es la única forma de jugar entre Steam y Xbox

COSAS A TOMAR EN CUENTA:
- Sí antes ya has linkeado tus cuentas posiblemente tengas problemas con la conexión, yo recomiendo deslindar tus cuentas y volver a linkearlas a travez de la interfaz
- Para que puedas jugar cross platform es necesario que ambos juegos se encuentren en la misma versión, actualmente en la fecha 15/01/2024 Steam recibió un hotfix (o dos) que no han llegado a Xbox, eventualmente volverán a estar en la misma versión.
- Debes tener el launcher de Epic Games abierto a la hora de invitar a tus amigos a jugar Remnant 2 sin importar en que plataforma te encuentres.
- Cuando estés cerca de la fecha de lanzamiento de un DLC posiblemente te encuentres con muchos problemas al momento de tratar de jugar Remnant 2 con alguien de Steam si te encuentras en Xbox o viceversa.


Esto es todo lo que conozco hasta el día de hoy.
