So before the DLC, you could get at most 80% cd reduction.
With the DLC they added a new necklace with which you can get 100% cd reduction (and people did, it was completely broken).
But then they patched it and nerfed it to 75%, which makes no sense, since 80% was the cap for 6 months before the dlc...
You literally don't know if this was a bug or an undocumented change, but it sure sounds like you've made up your mind based on zero evidence.
After their *great* changes that destroyed my build, I had to do it too.
It was an intended change and I believe there were some talks to even cap it more.
Bottom line is: whats fun for you does not mean its necessarily balanced, and things can slip through the cracks during testing and some combination can be unforeseen as to what an effect they would have.
100% cd was broken, no doubt on it, but whther the cap should be back to 80 or 75 or lower....not up to players to decide tbh. Though by the looks of it, there are a few combinations that even with 75% cd let you melt certain bigger bosses on apoc in literal seconds.
CDR builds weren't even my primary setup. Was just fun to run around as an engineer primary and have it not feel significantly less capable than just about any other build. Without high CDR the engineer class feels like the weakest of all. The CDR nerf doesn't drastically affect it, but it's annoying having something that isn't any more powerful than other strong builds nerfed. Next time I play, guess it's back to ye olde Remnant 1 build; Gunslinger primary, challenger secondary. All the dakka, all the CQC ass-beatin'. Sometimes the simplest things, are the best things.
You're the one who is doing much about nothing, my dude.
I'm not the one creating threads talking about "if this is how the devs want to handle things", "devs nerfing things I enjoy", "this is not okay", etc etc lol.
I'm just the one pointing out you are getting really worked up over something that you straight up don't even know was intentional, but you are definitely acting like it was.
New DLC introduced a new class and a bunch of rings / mods that boost that class damage and crowd control. All I'm gonna say it's insane how fast enemies die with STATUS build and a new class... I smell nerf in the future.
I did not create this thread, and the OP sounds concerned, not irritated like me. So you can't be saying that we were all saying the same thing since the difference in tone is clear. You are indeed, saying I started this thread. "I reject your reality, and substitute it with my own!" That's all you really had to say here. That, and you like reading way too much into the text communications of other individuals. The expression "mountain out of a mole hill" fits pretty well here. I know it isn't always easy ignoring the urge to respond on the internet when someone says something that doesn't sit right with you, when you believe someone to be in the wrong. But please, do try to refrain from trying to make something out of nothing in the future. This was a needless exchange.
You can deal with crowds just as easily without a status build, if not easier. I'm surprised the fire tornado hasn't been hit with the nerf bat, lol
Your build will be fine with 75% cd.
He made a build that could reach 100% cool down but if you had that high it'd bug the skill.
So the devs "fixed" the issue but also capped it at 75% but never mentioned it.
I'm sure the anti cheat protection kicked in if you spammed skills because he showed it and it'd send him to the last checkpoint. But they honestly should have been able to test with all of the cooldown reduction items beforehand. Check if the user has those items and it should have been fine.
