So in general : just don't use explosion or AOE builds that can stagger or kill other players in coop. It's just annoying to play with.
Not my fault the gun has massive AoE
True, but it's not like you shoot at your team on purpose. They were no where near the point of impact.
My normal shots AoE damages Players close to the Boss
I'm sure most players have enough patience to take few friendly fire, but no one likes a repeat offender and oblivious about it. So mind your shots especially if it has AoE.
If you aware that one of your party member is close to the Boss, then at least don't spam your explosives especially when equipped with Detonation Trigger amulet or just switch to primary weapon. If you creative enough, your could shoot it at floor near the Boss but away from other players.
Always maintain basic weapon safety rules and don't compete targets. The goal is to get through the stage. Not DPS racing or kill count.
^that
Even if the damage is tickles due to Kindship trait & my tanky build, the succ-tion still annoying.
No Witchfire is not the Nado....I ran Witchfire with my Build and stopped using it because people would run into my flames and kick me for using the Mod. I would shoot the flame away from the user, he would dodge roll a Boss attack and roll in to my Flames.
Witchfire is the mod that lets you shot a flame line where you aim at.
Now I am using Starshot and it's the same problem. Normal Shots also apply fire to my Team and even when using the Mod correctly and not shooting in to Friendlies, they still kick you even if they only get knocked back.
I mean, it's not like I am spamming the Mod ... I only open with it then switch to my Primary.
Well I can guess that host got sick about that AoE weapon being the cause of friendly fire so often and he is not using tanky build.
I spammed Meridian with maxed Amplitude which result 6 meters radius bombardment and haven't got kicked so far. Rarely hit anyone unless they keep sprint forward, though mostly they stop and watch the fireworks.
As much as I love Star Shot it's really not a team-friendly weapon. That goes double if you're also running the maxed +AOE trait too.
If you want a similar level of AoE and damage that won't hit your teammates run Ritualist with the second skill.
I already am running that Class .... because I am building into Bleed, procing the whole area in Bleed over time with just one hit of a bullet or thrown melee.
I am also running the maxed out AoE Trait so everything I do has maxed range.
Well I don't want to use the MP60 or whatever the secondary is called because it's the gun everyone uses mostly, so I don't want to be like the rest.
one of my main builds is an AoE focused build and i never get kicked with it cause i just dont hit team mates. The Area of Impact is 6 meter on my mainly used weapon there.

I ran into so many worlds where someone was using explosion damage, and it got me downed or straight killed because of them. Star shot is the biggest offender.
The worst combo is the Firestorm and Star Shot.
