Band of the Fanatic
Had to wear the Full Zealot Armor set to get the band. Which meant a second run. That had been true, but I got the ring without wearing that armor. This time I wore the Academic set and listened to the entire speech about the One True King. I expected the "i smell a stench" That did not happen, I walked to him. Short speech and he gave me the ring. Then I switch to other armor and attacked him like usual.

Interesting. Maybe any set of dran armor works?
